Accessibility statement

Last updated: 14 October 2026

Our aim

We aim for both websites to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We are not there everywhere yet; the sections below explain what works today and where we are still improving.

The accessibility menu

Every page has an accessibility button on the right-hand edge of the screen. It lets you:

• make text larger, up to 150%;
• raise the contrast of the page;
• highlight every link;
• widen the spacing between lines, letters and words;
• switch to an easy-to-read font (Atkinson Hyperlegible);
• pause animations and moving video;
• use a bigger mouse pointer.

Your settings are saved in your browser and apply again on your next visit. The menu can be used with a keyboard: press Tab to reach it and Escape to close it.

Other features

• A "Skip to main content" link appears when you press Tab on any page.
• Pages can be zoomed in your browser.
• Images have text descriptions for screen readers.
• On farajimarijani.ke, the room sizes from the villa floor plan and the availability of each plot are also given as text, and its decorative animations switch off when your device is set to reduce motion.
• Prices, distances and contact details are written as text, not only shown in images.

Known limitations

• The Faraji Marijani brochure (PDF) is a designed document made of images, so screen readers cannot read it. Ask us and we will send the same information as plain text or go through it with you by phone.
• Pictures of the villas and estates are architectural renders. The floor plan and site plan are drawings; the key information from them is also on the page as text.
• The contact form on msingi.ke shows its labels as placeholder text inside the fields rather than above them.
• Google Maps is provided by Google and may not be fully accessible. Our addresses are also written out on the page.
• Some pages use animation. You can pause it from the accessibility menu.

How we checked

We reviewed both websites ourselves in October 2026, using a keyboard, browser zoom and an automated checker. We will review them again whenever we make significant changes.
